Kala Sindoor

Kala Sindoor (Black vermillion) is used for many purposes.

• It is used by devotees of Shani Dev on their self forehead as a bindi or tilak.
• It is used by unmarried girls in some places of India on the forehead as a bindi as a mark of unmarried.
• It is used in many Pooja and Special Rituals as an offering to deities.
